Monte L. Burtch, DDS

I find true fulfillment in helping people. When it comes to my patients’ dental health, I get the most satisfaction when helping them achieve optimal health and genuine happiness with a positive dental experience. I have enjoyed building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with my patients since 1990 and look forward to many more years to come.

Continuing education enables me to provide better results for our patients by using state-of-the-art technology, techniques, materials, and equipment. The KOIS Center program motivates dentists to expand their knowledge and skills in all aspects of dentistry. In addition, I'm a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, a national organization for continued professional development, as well as the ADA (American Dental Association).

Outside the Office

I was born in Portland, OR, and spent most of my time growing up in Terrace, British Columbia. I moved to Palmer, AK, in 1995 and have enjoyed taking advantage of all this beautiful area has to offer. My wife, Jerilyn, and I have three children. As a family, we enjoy rafting, biking, hiking, skiing and fishing.

Christy

Office Manager/Receptionist

I began my dental career as a dental assistant in 2008 and joined Dr. Burtch’s team in 2009 as our office manager.  For our practice, I take care of scheduling, insurance, billing and organization. I really enjoy helping our patients have a pleasant dental experience. Dr. Burtch is a fun, positive person who is always in a good mood and he makes our office a great place to be every day. My wonderful husband and I have two boys, one girl and together we enjoy spending time outdoors. 

Julie

Dental Hygienist

Julie has worked with Dr. Burtch for her entire dental career, since 2002. Her favorite part of working here is helping our patients achieve overall health through excellent dental health. Dr. Burtch is committed to keeping our office up-to-date with new technology and encourages all of us to continue our education in order to provide the best in patient care. When Julie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors and all that Alaska has to offer, from hunting and fishing to snow-machining.

Allison

Dental Assistant

Allison is experienced and proficient in assisting Dr. Burtch and is great at making the patients feel comfortable. We were pleased when she joined our team in 2022, rouding out a group who truly cares for patient health and well-being. Allison is a new(ish) Alaska transplant, making the best of her new home with her family. We can always count on Allison for a new perspective and creative solution!

Trinity

Dental Assistant

Trinity joined our team in 2024 bringing with her fresh perspective and a deep care for helping others. Graduated from UAA in 2024 as a certified Dental Assistant, Trinity is up to date with best practices and procedures. When she is not assisting Dr. Burtch and keeping the office organized, she enjoys kayaking and spending time being creative. 

Anna

Hygienist

Anna has been in the dental hygiene field since and brings with her a great amount of experience! Anna enjoys helping her patients understand disease process and how to combat it successfully. Her additional periodontal training at the Kois Center in Seattle is paramount to the treatment she provides. 

Michelle

Hygienist

Michelle joined us in 2022 after she moved here from Oklahoma. She brings to our team her deep care for patient health and education. Michelle is very proficient with her job and enjoys building relationships with the patients that she has the pleasure of treating.
